Simon is the head of the Restructuring Services team and has 25 years’ experience in restructuring services. He has an extensive knowledge of corporate restructuring and insolvent company rescue procedures and has acted for a variety of stakeholders ranging from providing advice on the liquidation of small, owner managed businesses through to the administrations of large corporate groups. He also has wide experience in corporate simplifications and solvent liquidations acting for multinational groups and owner managed businesses. Simon has gained exposure to a broad range of industry sectors with his main area of expertise in construction and manufacturing. Away from the office Simon is a keen marathon runner and footballer.

Patrick is a partner in the Northern Restructuring Team, which he joined in 2015. He has over 18 years’ experience in advising distressed businesses, especially with restructuring assignments to ensure business continuity. His key areas tend to be creditor management, including negotiating extended facilities, debt refinancing (including new equity finance), working capital optimisation, including operational and financial performance improvement and restructuring businesses with significant pension scheme deficits or other unsustainable debt positions. Although having worked across a wide range of sectors, Patrick has most recently worked within the professional services, retail, manufacturing, leisure and hospitality and technology, media and telecommunications sectors.

Neil has 25 years of experience in restructuring and insolvency, having held senior roles at Deloitte and Begbies Traynor prior to joining Mazars. Neil is licensed as an insolvency practitioner by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) and he sits on the ICAEW’s Insolvency Committee. Neil has extensive experience taking appointments and advising lenders, directors and shareholders across a range of industries, with particular expertise in the financial services sector, including hedge funds, insurance companies and brokers and investment banks.

Scott is an appointment taking insolvency practitioner and director in our Restructure Services team in the Midlands and has led a wide variety of insolvency appointments and solvent restructuring assignments. Scott’s experience enables him to evaluate clients’ requirements, identify appropriate solutions and implement them in an effective and efficient manner.
Scott regularly advises a wide variety of stakeholders including owner managed businesses, financial institutions, secured and unsecured creditors and professional advisors.

Rebecca Dacre, a Director in the Mazars Milton Keynes office, is a licensed insolvency practitioner (FABRP) and chartered accountant (FCA) with over 15 years’ experience gained in both London and Milton Keynes. Rebecca has helped many business owners and directors navigate through the difficult times that their business has encountered and is regularly engaged in negotiating with banks/lenders/financial institutions. Her secondment to a bank and subsequent project work for the Banking Consulting team here at Mazars means that Rebecca can speak the banks’ language and has a depth of understanding of how they operate with distressed customers.
Rebecca advises both owner-managed business and medium-sized companies across a wide range of sectors including but not limited to: retail, automotive, intellectual property/R&D, engineering, manufacturing and construction.
Rebecca regularly advises on solvent restructuring and group rationalisation, together with carrying out solvent liquidations for shareholders seeking to wind up their business and take out their capital. Rebecca works closely with her tax team on these assignments so that the most tax-efficient plans may be put in place.
Rebecca carries out advisory assignments assisting boards with a turnaround (both planning and implementing). She works with the Mazars Business Performance Improvement team to assist where that will help and has a network of contacts who can act as non-exec directors and part-time FDs/FCs if the business needs that support.

Paul has in excess of 20 years experience in a broad range of corporate recovery and advisory work, including formal appointments both trading and non-trading, business advisory and turnaround work and solvent company reconstructions, working with both secured lenders and directors of distressed companies.
One of Paul’s specialisms is in the Licensed & Leisure sector having carried out over 200 assignments for Molson Coors Brewing Company (UK) Limited, Carlsberg (UK) Limited, Heineken (UK) Limited, Marstons PLC and other lending institutions in this sector, recovering over £40 million.

Conrad is an appointment-taking director in the Northern Restructuring Team, where he advises individuals and owner-managed businesses in financial difficulty, as well as assisting shareholders in realising their investments in solvent businesses which have come to the end of their lifecycle. Conrad has over 25 years’ experience, having joined Mazars in 1997. Recent sector experience includes construction, leisure and hospitality, care homes and corporate simplification projects for PLCs with dormant subsidiaries.
